<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the scientific approach in improving elementary school students’ critical thinking skills in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning. The scientific approach emphasizes observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating activities. This research used a qualitative descriptive method through literature study from various journals, books, and relevant research findings. The results showed that the implementation of the scientific approach can improve students’ critical thinking skills through active involvement in the learning process. Students become more capable of analyzing problems, expressing opinions, and drawing conclusions based on facts and data obtained. In addition, IPAS learning using a scientific approach creates a more active, creative, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Therefore, the scientific approach is effective in improving elementary school students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning.]]>
