<![CDATA[Visually impaired individuals face significant barriers in independently identifying Indonesian rupiah banknote denominations, including the 2022 emission notes that have been equipped with blind code features by Bank Indonesia. This study aims to identify the types of difficulties experienced by visually impaired individuals in identifying the 2022 rupiah banknotes currently in circulation. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with data collected via a Google Form questionnaire distributed to 18 visually impaired university students selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency and percentage. Results indicate that the main difficulties experienced were: (1) blind code that is difficult to feel due to its small size and lack of prominence (90%); (2) worn or folded notes making the blind code undetectable (83%); (3) dependence on sighted individuals to distinguish denominations (77%); and (4) fear of being deceived in independent transactions (73%). These findings imply the need for improved accessibility in banknote design and specialized education programs for visually impaired individuals regarding rupiah identification features.]]>
