<![CDATA[This study aimed to develop a metacognitive-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) as a learning material that could improve students’ thinking skills and learning independence. The research applied the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The development of the worksheet was carried out because the learning materials used in schools were still unable to optimally support students in understanding and controlling their own thinking processes. The metacognitive-based worksheet was designed to help students plan, monitor, and evaluate their learning activities during the learning process. The subjects of this study included material experts, media experts, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings showed that the developed worksheet was able to encourage students to become more active, independent, and capable of understanding the material more deeply. In addition, the worksheet also supported the implementation of interactive and student-centered learning. Therefore, the metacognitive-based worksheet is appropriate to be used as an alternative learning material to improve the quality of learning.]]>
