This study aimed to analyze students’ learning interest and its impact on mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 05 Jernang, Lembah Bawang District. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 22 fourth grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that students’ learning interest in mathematics was still in the low to moderate category. This condition was reflected in the indicators of enjoyment, interest, attention, and student involvement during the learning process. The results also showed that students’ mathematics learning outcomes were not evenly distributed, where 10 students had achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), while 12 students had not yet achieved learning completeness. Students with high learning interest tended to be more active, focused, and easier to understand mathematics material compared to students with low learning interest. In addition, students’ learning interest was influenced by internal factors such as motivation, self-confidence, and basic mathematical abilities, as well as external factors including teaching methods, learning media, classroom atmosphere, and family support. Therefore, teachers need to implement more interactive and varied learning methods to improve students’ learning interest and mathematics learning outcomes.
