<![CDATA[The ability to read the Qur’an is an essential basic skill that children need in order to develop religious understanding and character from an early age. However, based on observations at Tanzilul Rahmatillah Mosque in Sungai Rupat, Bengkulu City, it was found that some children were still not fluent in reading the Qur’an, had limited understanding of basic tajwid rules, and showed low consistency in participating in regular Qur’an recitation activities. On the other hand, the community possesses various assets that can support Qur’anic learning activities, such as an active mosque, strong support from mosque administrators, parental involvement, and children’s enthusiasm for learning. This community service program aimed to improve Qur’anic reading skills through recitation activities based on the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The implementation method followed four stages: discovery, dream, design, and destiny. The program was conducted through Qur’anic reading assistance, basic tajwid instruction, regular reading practice, and participant evaluation. The results showed an improvement in children’s Qur’anic reading ability, increased learning motivation and participation, and stronger community involvement in supporting religious activities in the mosque environment. Therefore, this program contributed positively to strengthening Islamic education and fostering religious habits among children in the community.]]>
