<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the low fable text writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 9 Payakumbuh. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by animated video media in improving students’ fable writing skills. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 32 students from class VII.5 selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through performance tests and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings showed a significant improvement in students’ fable writing skills after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model assisted by animated video media. The average posttest score was higher than the average pretest score, and the results of hypothesis testing confirmed that the treatment had a significant effect. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model assisted by animated video media was proven effective in improving students’ fable writing skills.]]>
