<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the factors causing the low interest of Grade XII students at SMKS Trunojoyo Jember in continuing their education to higher education institutions. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Grade XII students and teachers as research informants. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students' interest in pursuing higher education remains relatively low. This condition is indicated by the lack of attention to higher education information, low initiative in seeking information about universities, and a stronger orientation toward entering the workforce after graduation. The factors influencing this condition consist of internal factors, including perceptions of work readiness, low academic motivation, lack of self-confidence, and the desire for financial independence. Meanwhile, external factors include family economic conditions, limited parental support, peer influence, and insufficient information regarding higher education and scholarship opportunities. The findings suggest the need for collaboration among schools, families, and government institutions to improve students' awareness, motivation, and access to information about higher education in order to increase their interest in pursuing further studies]]>
