This study aims to determine the effect of positive self-talk on self-efficacy among the 2023 cohort students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the State University of Manado (UNIMA). This research employed a quantitative correlational approach. The population consisted of 578 students of the 2023 cohort at the Faculty of Education and Psychology UNIMA, with a sample of 236 students selected using simple random sampling based on the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error. Data were collected using the positive self-talk scale and self- efficacy scale and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results showed that positive self-talk had a significant positive effect on self- efficacy (F = 193.966, sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.453, indicating that positive self-talk accounts for 45.3% of the variance in self- efficacy, while the remaining 54.7% is explained by other variables not included in this study. These findings confirm that the higher the level of positive self-talk practiced by students, the higher their self-efficacy in facing academic challenges, including the MBKM program demands such as internship and cross-program study.
