Based on preliminary observations, students’ low learning outcomes were attributed to the use of conventional teaching methods that emphasized teacher-centered instruction. This study aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes on the Solar System topic through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by diorama media in Grade VI at SDN Sumberanyar. The research focused on two objectives: (1) describing the implementation of PjBL assisted by diorama media in learning the Solar System topic, and (2) determining whether its application could improve students’ learning outcomes. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The participants were 27 sixth-grade students of SDN Sumberanyar. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. The findings revealed a consistent improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the PjBL model assisted by diorama media. Pre-test results showed that only 9 students (33.33%) achieved mastery learning, while 18 students (66.67%) did not. In Cycle I, the number of students who achieved mastery increased to 15 students (55.56%), although classical mastery had not yet been achieved. Further improvement was observed in Cycle II, where 25 students (88.89%) achieved mastery learning and only 2 students (11.11%) remained below the mastery criterion. Thus, classical mastery learning was successfully achieved. The results indicate that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by diorama media effectively enhances students’ learning outcomes on the Solar System topic. The use of project-based activities and concrete visual media encourages active participation, improves understanding of concepts, and contributes to better academic achievement.
