<![CDATA[The use of innovative and culturally based learning media is still not optimal in fine arts learning in elementary schools, so it is necessary to study teachers' perceptions of the use of paper puppets as an alternative learning medium. This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of the use of paper puppets in fine arts learning in grade IV of Sukamantri Elementary School. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with research subjects being teachers and grade IV students of Sukamantri Elementary School. Data collection techniques were carried out through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively to obtain an overview of teachers' perceptions of the use of paper puppets in fine arts learning. The results showed that teachers tended to have positive perceptions of the use of paper puppets. This media is considered capable of increasing learning motivation, creativity, active participation, and students' understanding of fine arts materials. In addition, paper puppets also play a role as a means of introducing and preserving local culture to students. However, there are several obstacles in its implementation, such as limited learning time, availability of tools and materials, and differences in students' abilities in creating works. Overall, paper puppets are seen as an interesting, innovative learning medium, and in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students so that they can support the creation of more meaningful and local culture-based fine arts learning.]]>
