<![CDATA[Fathu Makkah was a significant event in Islamic history that symbolized victory, liberation, and reconciliation. This study aims to examine the background, process, and significance of Fathu Makkah as a model of peaceful conflict resolution in Islam. The research employed a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing the Qur’an, books, scholarly journals, and relevant historical sources. Data were analyzed descriptively to gain a comprehensive understanding of the event. The findings indicate that Fathu Makkah occurred following the Quraysh’s violation of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and was carried out through careful planning with minimal bloodshed. The event liberated the people of Makkah from idolatry and prolonged conflict while demonstrating the values of peace and justice. Furthermore, Prophet Muhammad’s decision to grant amnesty to the people of Makkah reflected the principles of forgiveness, tolerance, and reconciliation. Therefore, Fathu Makkah remains an important example of leadership, social harmony, and peacebuilding in diverse societies.]]>
