<![CDATA[This study aimed to describe the role of teachers in improving students’ learning motivation at SDN 02 Bengkayang. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of three teachers and five students. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers have an important role in improving students’ learning motivation through encouragement, attention, appreciation, and varied teaching methods. Teachers also applied personal approaches to less motivated students and collaborated with parents. The motivation provided by teachers positively affected students’ activeness, self-confidence, and enthusiasm during learning activities. However, several obstacles were still found, such as lack of learning support at home, excessive gadget use, and low student concentration. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that teachers play important roles as motivators, mentors, facilitators, and caregivers in improving students’ learning motivation at SDN 02 Bengkayang]]>
