<![CDATA[Literacy skills remain a major challenge for the education sector in Indonesia. Based on results of the PISA assessment, the literacy level of Indonesian students is still relatively low. Efforts to improve students’ literacy skills can be achieved through appropriate instructional design. One promising alternative is collaborative learning design. A learning that emphasizes collaborative processes is Peer-Construct Learning (PCL). The purpose of this study is to analyze the collaborative processes among students in the PCL model and to examine the improvement of students’ numeracy literacy skills through its implementation. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design. The research was conducted at MI Ma’arif NU Tamansari involving 26 fifth-grade students. The findings indicate that the PCL model emphasizes collaboration among students, particularly during tutoring sessions. Students who did not understand the material were encouraged to seek assistance from peers who had already mastered it. The teacher did not assign study groups, instead, students formed groups naturally based on their comfort level with peers. This collaborative process had a positive impact on learning outcomes. The average posttest score increased compared to the pretest score, from 57 to 86. Student comprehension also became more evenly distributed, as shown by the decrease in the standard deviation from 10.07 to 7.43.
