<![CDATA[This research is based on the low interest of students in learning mathematics, which is shown through the low engagement and disengagement of students in the learning process and the use of learning media that is not optimal. This research aims to develop media learning based on Macromedia Flash 8 to enhance the understanding concept of mathematics students in content area of class VII SMP to achieve media learning based on Macromedia Flash 8 that is valid, practical, and effective, so that it can help students in understanding the content of class VII SMP. Research using the type of research development (Research and Development) with model development 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) The subject of this research is Dozen Program Study Education Mathematics Universitas Jambi as a team consisting of expert material and expert media, guru mathematics class VIII H SMPN 7 Muaro Jambi on the test testing environment and all the students of class VIII H SMPN 7 Muaro Jambi totaling 20 people students class on the test field. The research instruments used are material and media validation sheet, pre-test and continuous learning of students, and student and teacher response sheet. After the entire instrument and media are validated and declared valid by the validator, field testing is conducted. The results of the research showed that: (1) The media coloring page developed met the percentage validity i.e. 87.77% and 90% with the category being very valid; (2) The media developed has met the practical value i.e. (84% and 87,16%) with the category being very practical; (3) The media developed met the criteria and was effective with consistent learning results reaching 85% and the positive response given by students reaching 85.5% of the total number of students.]]>
