<![CDATA[This research aims to describe the role of the teacher and the steps for implementing the Problem Based Learning model in increasing learning motivation and fostering discipline in class VII students at Al-Fattahiyyah Islamic Middle School. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects included Pancasila Education teachers, school principals, curriculum representatives, students, and boarding school administrators. The research results show that teachers act as problem designers, facilitators, mentors and motivators in the learning process. The application of PBL which begins with the presentation of real cases, group discussions, and the presentation of solutions is proven to make learning more meaningful and interesting. Supporting factors include school policy support, teacher competence, and relevant material, while inhibiting factors are time constraints and differences in student character. It was concluded that the role of the teacher and the PBL model were effective in increasing learning motivation and raising students' awareness of discipline.]]>
