<![CDATA[Islamic education, throughout its history and development, consistently positions thelearning process as a sacred interaction between teacher and student, aimed notonly at transferring knowledge but also at instilling values. Within the madrasahcurriculum, the subject of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) occupies a strategic andfundamental position. The approach used in this study is a qualitative one.Qualitative research is a method conducted by someone capable of collecting data,who is essentially the sole researcher in all aspects, although in the field may beassisted by a team or group. Qualitative methods are the development of socialscience theory and methodology in the Indonesian context. Qualitative methods canuncover and understand something behind unknown events. The application of the Question and AnswerMethod in Increasing Active Student Participation in Fiqh at MTs Miftahul UlumCermenan, namely the presence of teachers with clear sanad (chain of narrators),a conducive environment, and students who are highly motivated to understand andimprove their reading. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the lack ofcommunication between teachers and students, not all students have the sameunderstanding so they quickly get bored and lazy, lack of motivation fromthemselves and also the lack of a conducive environment which makes studentsfeel disturbed.]]>
