<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in Indonesian language learning, specifically in identifying the intrinsic elements of children's stories among fifth-grade students at SDN No. 1 Rupe. The study is based on the importance of students' ability to understand the intrinsic elements of stories and the need for a learning model that can enhance students' active engagement in the learning process. The Jigsaw model was selected because it enables students to learn collaboratively, share responsibility, and actively participate in understanding the learning materials. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants consisted of the fifth-grade teacher and students of SDN No. 1 Rupe. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Jigsaw model was carried out through several stages, namely home group formation, expert group discussions, material discussions, presentation of discussion results to the home group, and learning evaluation. The application of this model increased students' active participation, strengthened peer interaction, and improved their understanding of the intrinsic elements of children's stories, including theme, characters and characterization, plot, setting, and moral message. Supporting factors included teacher preparedness, student enthusiasm, and the availability of learning materials, while inhibiting factors were differences in students' abilities and limited instructional time. In conclusion, the Jigsaw cooperative learning model can be effectively implemented in Indonesian language learning and contributes to improving students' learning activities and understanding of the intrinsic elements of children's stories in elementary school.]]>
