<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes and student participation in Indonesian language learning, especially in sentence construction material for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 067776 Medan Johor. This study aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes and participation through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 067776 Medan Johor. Data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation. The findings showed that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model successfully improved students’ learning outcomes. The average score increased from 55.00 in the pre-action stage to 69.16 in Cycle I and reached 80.00 in Cycle II. Classical learning mastery also improved and achieved 79.17%. In addition, student participation increased significantly, creating a more active, collaborative, and student-centered learning process.]]>
