The learning process in elementary schools still relies heavily on printed textbooks and conventional teaching methods, resulting in limited student engagement and difficulties in understanding abstract science concepts. This study aimed to develop a digital flipbook learning media for the topic “Seeing Because of Light” in Grade V IPAS learning and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were 25 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Paya Bujok Tunong. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The results indicated that the developed digital flipbook was highly valid, obtaining validation scores of 98% from material experts, 93.33% from media experts, and 100% from language experts. The practicality assessment showed positive responses from teachers (90%) and students (92.72%). Furthermore, the effectiveness test demonstrated an increase in the average student score from 51.40 in the pretest to 90.00 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.80 categorized as high. Therefore, the digital flipbook learning media is considered valid, practical, and effective for supporting IPAS learning in elementary schools.
