This study aims to develop valid, practical, and effective Pictorial and Image-Based Scrabble media to improve the reading skills of second-grade students of SD 41 Lubuk Linggau. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model (Definition, Design, Development, and Dissemination). The subjects of this study were 28 second-grade students of SD 41 Lubuk Linggau. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study indicate that the quality of Pictorial and Image-Based Scrabble media seen from the validity aspect is included in the "Very Valid" criteria with an Aiken's V value of 0.87 for language experts, a value of 0.81 for media experts, and a value of 0.91 for material experts. The results of the analysis of the practicality assessment sheet of Pictorial and Image-Based Scrabble media by teachers and students meet the classification of "Very Practical" with a practicality percentage of 100% by teachers and 95,55% by students. The effectiveness of the N-Gain Score is 0.71, categorized as "High". Based on the research results, the development of illustrated and image-based Scrabble media is valid, practical, and effective.
