This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by diorama media on the conceptual understanding and learning participation of fifth-grade elementary school students in ecosystem material. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The participants consisted of 19 fifth-grade students at SDN Klitik 1 selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using conceptual understanding tests and learning participation questionnaires administered before and after the implementation of the learning model. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that the implementation of Project Based Learning assisted by diorama media significantly improved students' conceptual understanding and learning participation. The integration of project-based learning with concrete three-dimensional media created meaningful learning experiences and encouraged students to become more active throughout the learning process
