<![CDATA[Learning motivation is a crucial factor influencing learning success. However, observations at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun indicate that the learning motivation of fourth-grade students regarding the human five senses topic in the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subject remains low; this is because instruction tends to be teacher-centered, resulting in limited student engagement during the learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun. The study employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 44 students: 22 in class IV-A (control group) and 22 in class IV-B (experimental group). Data collection utilized a learning motivation questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test via SPSS version 26. The results show that the average learning motivation in the experimental group increased from 59.59 to 84.50, while in the control group, it rose from 58.64 to 71.59. Hypothesis testing yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05) and a calculated t-value of -13.994. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in enhancing the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun regarding the human five senses topic in the IPAS subject.]]>
