Data processing was analyzed using the wilcoxon signed rank test because the data was not normally distributed. The study revealed that the pocket book had no statistically significant effect on the knowledge of outpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (p = 0.053). However, it demonstrated a significant effect on patient adherence (p = 0.000) at Arjasa Public Health Center, Jember Regency. The diabetes healthy diet pocketbook was effective in improving dietary adherence among patients, although it did not significantly enhance their knowledge.
