<![CDATA[This Rantak Bawak Dance was originally known as Ratok Bawak, a dance that originated from the traditional of a king’s death ceremony in nagari Bukik Limbuku Limapuluh Kota Regency. Then, this traditional has developed into a performing art because the descendants of the king have become extinct. Bawak is a dance property made of dried cowhide to form a swap and the dancers move on the cowhide while stamping their feet, therefore this dance is called the Rantak Bawak dance. This reserch aims to explain the preservation and Development of Rantak Bawak dance in nagari Bukik Limbuku Limapuluh Kota Regency. The research method used is qualitative date obtained through interviews, observations and documentation.]]>
