This study was motivated by the fact that some eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Sikabau had not fully demonstrated religious character in their daily lives, as reflected in a lack of discipline in performing worship, low participation in religious activities, and the absence of habitual behaviors that reflect religious values. To address this issue, the school has implemented the Youth Islamic Study Program (Wirid Remaja) as an effort to foster students' religious character. Based on this condition, the research problem addressed in this study is: What are the impacts of the Youth Islamic Study Program (Wirid Remaja) on the religious character of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Sikabau Therefore, this study aims to determine the impact of the Youth Islamic Study Program on the religious character of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Sikabau. This study employed the Habit Forming Theory as its theoretical framework. According to William James (1890), habits are formed through the continuous repetition of actions until they become an integral part of an individual's character. In line with this view, E. Mulyasa (2011) states that habituation is a process of repeatedly performing an activity so that it becomes a permanent habit within an individual. This study adopted a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique and consisted of the principal, the Wirid Remaja supervisor, parents, and Grade XI students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Youth Islamic Study Program has a positive impact on students' religious character. The impacts include: (1) increased obedience in worship, such as being more disciplined in performing prayers, reading the Qur'an, and praying; (2) strengthened faith and belief in religious teachings; (3) the development of better moral conduct and character, such as politeness, responsibility, and respect for teachers and peers; and (4) increased social awareness. The program also helps establish religious habits through regular and continuous religious activities, thereby strengthening the religious character of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Sikabau.
