The low level of students' mathematical numeracy literacy remains a significant challenge because it affects their ability to understand and solve contextual mathematical problems. This study aimed to improve the mathematical numeracy literacy of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in statistics learning. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 36 eighth-grade students. Data were collected through mathematical numeracy literacy tests, classroom observations, and student response questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model successfully improved students' mathematical numeracy literacy. The average test score increased from 76.21 in Cycle I to 91.43 in Cycle II, while classical learning mastery improved from 51.52% to 85.5%. Students' questionnaire results also increased from 60.61% to 82.86%, accompanied by improvements in teacher activity from 69.12% to 85.29% and student activity from 73.33% to 85%. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving students' mathematical numeracy literacy in statistics learning.
