This study aims to describe students' descriptive text writing skills after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class VII.A of UPT SPF SMP Negeri 19 Makassar. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with a one-shot case study design, the study involved 32 students sampled from a population of 326 seventh-grade students. Data were collected through PBL implementation observation sheets and descriptive text writing performance tests, then analyzed descriptively. Results showed that PBL implementation fell into the very good category, while students' writing skills achieved an average score of 86.5 (highest 100, lowest 75), classified as Good. Per-aspect analysis revealed integration as the strongest component (87.50% Good), followed by text structure (84.38% Good) and linguistic rules (65.62% Good), with no students falling into the Poor category. The study concludes that PBL was implemented effectively and improved students' descriptive text writing skills, though the one-shot design without pretest or control group limits causal interpretation.
