This study aimed to examine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audio-visual learning media on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Bibisluhur 1 Surakarta during the 2025/2026 academic year. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The participants consisted of 28 fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, while the pretest and posttest instruments met the required validity and reliability criteria. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, followed by the Paired Sample t-test for hypothesis testing. The results showed that the mean score increased from 69.43 on the pretest to 82.00 on the posttest. The hypothesis testing revealed that the calculated t-value (12.821) was higher than the critical t-value (2.052), with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual learning media had a significant positive effect on improving the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Bibisluhur 1 Surakarta.
