<![CDATA[This study was motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students, as indicated by the 2025 preliminary assessment, which showed a mastery level of only 60%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) learning model assisted by puzzle media on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in learning fraction ordering. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The participants consisted of an experimental class that received instruction through the puzzle-assisted RTE model and a control class that received conventional instruction. The research instrument was a mathematical problem-solving test consisting of six validated and reliable essay questions, including three pretest and three posttest items. The findings revealed that the experimental class achieved a higher mean posttest score (84.3) than the control class (68.7). The Independent Samples t-test produced a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that the puzzle-assisted Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) learning model significantly improves the mathematical problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students at SDN 01 Kampung Parit Silayang, Pasaman Regency, particularly in the topic of ordering fractions.]]>
