<![CDATA[The ability to identify the main idea of expository texts is an important skill that elementary school students must master in their Indonesian language studies, as it forms the foundation for comprehending the content of a text in its entirety. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Edpuzzle interactive media on the ability of sixth-grade students at SDN Dukuh Kupang II-489 in Surabaya to identify the main idea of expository texts during the 2025/2026 school year. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The study population consisted of 55 sixth-grade students at SDN Dukuh Kupang II-489 in Surabaya during the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample comprised 28 students in the experimental class who used the Edpuzzle interactive media and 27 students in the control class who used physical reading materials. Data collection was conducted through a posttest, while data analysis utilized statistical tests with the assistance of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that the ability of students in the experimental class to identify the main ideas of expository texts was better than that of the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Edpuzzle interactive media has a positive effect on the ability of sixth-grade elementary school students to identify the main ideas of expository texts.]]>
