<![CDATA[Introduction: Mental disorders are a person's behavioral disorders that can disrupt themselves and even the environment in which they live, so they must be cured in order to return to normal. For this reason, something new is needed with a new method for handling it. Music therapy is one method of treating patients suffering from severe depression. Although there is still little research on the effects of music therapy on patients with mental disorders, several studies show that the results of the effects of music therapy are quite promising. This study aims to analyze articles about the effects of music therapy on severely depressed patients with psychosis and various symptoms, especially in Indonesia. Method: Using analysis of several articles related to the title through search databases such as: PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect then filtered based on the keywords, "music therapy AND major depressive disorder AND psychosis". Results: From the PubMed database, 5 articles were found, Google Scholar found 27,500 articles, and ScienceDirect found 715 articles. Of the entire database, only 7 met the inclusion criteria by filtering the diversity of topics, titles, abstracts, research methods, discussions and conclusions . Conclusion: The results of the article review show that the effect of music therapy on major depressive patients with psychosis can improve brain function, reduce symptoms of psychosis and levels of depression and improve mood]]>
