Abstract

Abstract   Building construction projects in Pontianak City are exposed to various risk factors that affect the quality of project execution, including schedule delays, limited resources, environmental conditions, and inadequate quality control. These complexities require the application of a decision-making method capable of systematically and objectively prioritizing risk mitigation. However, the current process of prioritizing risks is often based on subjective judgment, which may lead to inaccurate decision-making. This quantitative descriptive study applies the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to objectively determine the priority of risk factors affecting project quality. The results indicate that the criterion with the highest global weight is work methods (0.314), followed by experience and reputation (0.227), business classification (0.194), human resources (0.141), and project duration (0.124). In addition, the global weights of the alternative risk factors were found to have a significant influence on project quality. The findings reveal that the standardization of work methods is the most critical aspect of project quality control. These results provide a valuable basis for developing risk mitigation strategies aimed at improving the quality of building construction projects.   Keywords: project quality, AHP, criteria, and alternatives
