<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the contextual problem-oriented DMR learning model on the mathematical communication abilities of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Siompu. Thi research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method using a post-test only control group design. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Siompu. The research sample consisted of 2 classes, namely class = 24 students (experimental class) and class = 23 students (control class). The research instrument is in the form of essay questions. The results of the research obtained an average learning outcome for experimental class students of 78.33 and an average learning outcome for control class students of 69.78. Based on the results, = 2.179 with df = 45 and significant (2-tailed) = 0.035 < ( (0.05) so it can be concluded that (H0) is rejected and (H1) is accepted. This means that there is an influence between students who are taught using the contextual problem-oriented DMR learning model and conventional learning models on the mathematical communication abilities of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Siompu.]]>
