<![CDATA[This community engagement activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) managers in Sone Village, Insana Tengah District, who had previously faced challenges in business management, financial administration, and community involvement. The activity employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving BUMDes managers and community members actively in identifying problems, formulating solutions, participating in training, and evaluating the outcomes. The assistance covered village business management, business plan development, basic bookkeeping, and strategies for marketing local products. The results showed improvements in the managers’ skills and confidence in managing BUMDes. Following the assistance, the previously inactive BUMDes resumed operations by developing several business units, including ikat weaving, a basic-goods store, and party equipment rental services. The Sone Village Government also provided support through a capital contribution of IDR 120 million. The activity demonstrates that strengthening managerial capacity, promoting good governance, securing village government support, and encouraging community involvement are important factors in revitalizing BUMDes and promoting improvements in the local village economy.]]>
