The development of spatial thinking skills is crucial in geography education to equip students with the ability to understand and solve spatial relationships among objects on the Earth's surface. Nevertheless, the currently used learning models do not yet facilitate the enhancement of pupils' spatial abilities. The objective of this research is to examine the impact of the Problem Based Learning approach, supported by the Webgis Inarisk platform, on the development of spatial thinking abilities among high school students. The study was done at SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja. The study used a quasi-experimental research approach, especially the Non-Equivalent Control Group approach. The study sample included of class E as the control group and class G as the experimental group, determined using randomization with previous class matching. The data were gathered via the process of observation and testing. They were then analysed using both descriptive and inferential methods, namely t-tests. The study findings demonstrate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a substantial impact on students' spatial thinking abilities, as shown by a statistically significant Sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than the accepted threshold of 0.05. The implementation of the PBL model contributes to improving students' spatial thinking skills by 92.66 (very good). Based on the research findings, it is recommended that policymakers and geography teachers promote the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Webgis Inarisk and other digital-based geography media to develop students' spatial skills.
