Caltex Riau Polytechnic Sports Park has long served as a sports and recreation facility not only for the academic community but also for surrounding residents. However, its physical quality, comfort, and social vitality have declined over time, reducing the intensity of its use. This study aims to analyze user preferences and needs regarding the park's space, facilities, and activities, and to identify which placemaking factors (sociability, uses and activities, access and linkages, comfort and image) most influence user satisfaction and attachment, as a basis for formulating a revitalization direction. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method through a Likert-scale questionnaire (16 items across four placemaking dimensions) distributed to 65 respondents selected through accidental sampling, supported by field observation. These findings offer an empirical baseline for a user-centered revitalization concept grounded in the placemaking framework.
