This study aims to examine how perceived ease of use influences the decision to use the DANA e-wallet, both directly and indirectly through trust as a mediating variable, as well as to examine the effect of trust on that usage decision. The study adopts a quantitative approach involving 100 DANA users in the Taman Heulang area of Bogor, selected through a purposive sampling technique. The primary instrument was a questionnaire consisting of 26 statement items, and the collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the aid of SmartPLS 4. The results show that perceived ease of use does not have a significant direct effect on the usage decision, but it contributes positively and significantly to building trust, which in turn has a positive and significant effect on the usage decision. Furthermore, trust is shown to fully mediate the relationship between perceived ease of use and the usage decision. These findings indicate that ease of use alone is not sufficient to drive service adoption; it must first cultivate user trust, which subsequently drives the decision to use the DANA e-wallet.
