Abstract

Grab has become one of the ride-hailing services widely favored by students, yet the sustainability of its usage largely depends on how users perceive its benefits and safety. This study examines how digital benefits shape students’ intention to reuse the Grab application, with perceived security risk as the variable bridging that relationship. The research was conducted among students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Ibn Khaldun University Bogor, class of 2022, with a population of 272 students. The sample size was determined using Slovin’s formula, resulting in 75 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings reveal that digital benefits have a positive and significant effect, both directly on reuse intention and on perceived security risk. Perceived security risk was also found to have a positive and significant effect on reuse intention, while partially mediating the relationship between digital benefits and reuse intention. These findings suggest that as students perceive greater digital benefits and hold a more favorable view of the application’s security, their intention to continue using Grab tends to increase accordingly.
