The online registration service through the Mobile JKN application is one of the digital innovations developed by BPJS Kesehatan to improve service effectiveness and patient satisfaction. However, several challenges remain, including system disruptions, limited digital literacy, and verification delays that may affect patients’ experiences. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the effectiveness of online registration services through the Mobile JKN application and outpatient satisfaction at Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital Bukittinggi in 2026. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 3,285 outpatients who used the Mobile JKN application, and a sample of 107 respondents was selected using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique involved stratified random sampling followed by purposive sampling. Data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and the Chi-Square test for bivariate analysis. The results showed that 55 respondents (51.4%) perceived the effectiveness of the online registration service as good, while 60 respondents (56.1%) were satisfied with the online registration service. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between the effectiveness of the Mobile JKN online registration service and outpatient satisfaction at Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital Bukittinggi, with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). The better the perceived effectiveness of the online registration service, the higher the level of patient satisfaction. It is recommended that Ibnu Sina Islamic Hospital Bukittinggi continue to improve the quality of its online registration services by optimizing the application system, enhancing network reliability, accelerating the verification process, and providing education to Mobile JKN users to further increase patient satisfaction.
