<![CDATA[Hypertension is a prevalent public health problem that may cause serious complications if not properly managed. A community assessment in Bahalayung Village, Bakumpai District, Barito Kuala Regency, identified limited knowledge regarding hypertension management and complementary therapies. This community development program aimed to improve knowledge through health education and complementary acupressure therapy. The program was conducted on May 2026, at Bahalayung Village Community Hall and involved 32 participants with hypertension. Activities included lectures, interactive discussions, acupressure demonstrations, and pre-test and post-test evaluations. Educational materials covered hypertension, risk factors, complications, prevention, and blood pressure control. The mean knowledge score increased from 6.25 before the intervention to 8.75 after the intervention, indicating a 2.50-point improvement. Participants actively engaged and demonstrated skills in performing self-acupressure. In conclusion, this community development initiative effectively enhanced public knowledge and practical skills, supporting sustainable self-management of hypertension.]]>
