Grubi is a Magelang specialty made from sweet potatoes and is a popular product produced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region. This community service program aims to strengthen the local food chain by providing a sawut machine to one of the SMEs in Mandiran Hamlet. The program began with problem identification to understand the challenges faced by the SME, particularly in the slicing process of sweet potatoes, which is an important stage in grubi production. Based on the identified problems, appropriate solutions were developed and implemented through the provision of a sawut machine. Technical training was also provided to the SME owners on how to operate and maintain the machine properly and safely to ensure more efficient and sustainable use. The program concluded with the handover of the sawut machine to the SME. The activity was enthusiastically received by the SME owners, who recognized the potential benefits of the machine. The sawut machine accelerates the slicing process, reduces processing time, and supports more efficient production. This is expected to increase productivity while maintaining the quality of grubi and supporting the sustainability of the local food business.
