This study aims to determine the effect of Work Life Balance and job stress on Employee Engagement among Gen Z employees working at Coffee Shops in Surakarta City. This study used a quantitative approach involving 82 Gen Z employee respondents aged 18-27 years with a minimum work period of 3 months. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results show that Work Life Balance has a significant positive effect, while job stress has a significant negative effect on Employee Engagement. Both variables jointly explain 41% of the variation in Employee Engagement. Work Life Balance is proven to be the most influential factor in enhancing the work engagement of Gen Z employees. These findings indicate that work-life balance should be a priority for coffee shop management. A work environment that supports this balance can help enhance employee well-being and comfort in performing their duties. Therefore, the company needs to implement flexible work policies and manage workloads to minimize stress and boost employee engagement.
