This study was motivated by the importance of selecting appropriate learning models and methods to improve the quality of teaching and learning activities. In practice, classroom instruction often remains teacher-centered and monotonous, limiting students’ ability to understand, analyze, and actively engage with learning materials. Therefore, this research aimed to examine the effect of the Discovery Learning model and the simulation method on the analytical abilities of fifth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character Education at SDN 060 North Bengkulu. The study employed a quantitative field research design involving 39 fifth-grade students as the research sample. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires and analyzed using regression analysis. The findings revealed that the Discovery Learning model significantly influenced students’ analytical abilities, as indicated by an F-value of 4.848, which exceeded the F-table value of 3.14, and a t-value of 2.921, which was higher than the t-table value of 1.997. Similarly, the simulation method demonstrated a significant effect, with an F-value of 4.382, exceeding the F-table value of 3.14. Furthermore, the simultaneous regression analysis showed a significance value of 0.029 (<0.05) and an F-value of 2.417, which was greater than the F-table value of 1.68. These results indicate that both the Discovery Learning model and the simulation method significantly improve students’ analytical abilities in PAI and Character Education.
