<![CDATA[Listening comprehension is one of the fundamental language skills that underlies the development of other language skills such as speaking, reading, and writing. Preliminary observations indicate that the listening skills of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) remain relatively low, as shown by their difficulty in understanding teachers' oral instructions, reading passages, and everyday conversation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of interactive learning methods in improving the listening skills of ninth-grade students at MTs Sahid. The interactive methods applied include question-and-answer sessions, group discussions, language games, storytelling, and the use of audiovisual media. This research employed an experimental design with control and experimental groups, each given a pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, two-way ANOVA, and paired-sample t-tests, complemented by observational data analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results show that the experimental group, taught using interactive methods, experienced a greater improvement in listening comprehension than the control group taught conventionally, along with increased learning motivation and active participation. These findings reinforce prior studies on the effectiveness of media-based and collaborative interactive learning in developing listening skills.
