Critical thinking here is based on five indicators, including: Interpretation (Understanding the Problem), Analysis (Finding Relationships), Evaluation (Assessing Arguments), Inference (Drawing Conclusions), and Explanation (Explaining Results). Open Ended here refers to open-ended questions that have more than one correct answer. PBL here is a learning model designed to teach students to solve open-ended questions. The aim of this research is to analyze the critical thinking process of elementary school students in solving open-ended questions using the Problem-Based Learning model. This research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach, which is research conducted naturally and the data collected is in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. The subjects of this research are 3 sixth-grade students from the Kateng village public elementary school. Based on the research results, S1 can already interpret, analyze, evaluate, infer, and explain. S2 can already interpret, analyze, evaluate, and infer but is not yet able to explain. S3 can already interpret, analyze, and evaluate but is still not able to infer and explain. This research cannot be generalized to the entire student population, as it was conducted on a selected sample group.
