<![CDATA[This research aims to describe the instillation of the gotong royong character through Problem Based Learning (PBL) in fifth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 18 Surabaya. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on the learning process, which includes cooperation, solidarity, and student responsibility in group activities. The research results show that at the organizational stage, there are still groups of students who are unable to cooperate optimally, marked by a lack of communication, individual dominance, and a lack of focus in discussions. At the group investigation stage, student solidarity has not fully developed because there are still students who are indifferent to other group members. Meanwhile, at the stage of developing and presenting their work and evaluation, student responsibility shows variation, with some groups performing well and others still needing improvement in completing tasks on time and presenting group work results. Overall, the implementation of PBL contributes to instilling the character of mutual cooperation, although strengthening in several aspects is still needed for it to develop optimally.]]>
