This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance at PT Gayuh Media Informatika, an information technology company operating in the public sector in Tangerang. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design and used a saturated sampling technique involving all 37 permanent employees as respondents. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results indicate that transformational leadership does not have a significant partial effect on employee performance (t = 1.031; sig. = 0.310 > 0.05), whereas work motivation has a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance (t = 2.789; sig. = 0.009 < 0.05). Simultaneously, transformational leadership and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (F = 20.931; sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination of 55.2%. These findings suggest that although transformational leadership alone is insufficient to improve employee performance, its combination with strong work motivation plays an important role in optimizing employee performance in a small-scale information technology company.
