The rapid expansion of digital media has significantly reshaped contemporary da‘wah communication, positioning Islamic broadcasting as an important medium for disseminating religious messages across diverse audiences. However, existing scholarship often treats Islamic broadcasting primarily as a technical medium, leaving its conceptual role within da‘wah communication insufficiently examined. This study aims to analyze the development of Islamic broadcasting research and to reframe its position within modern da‘wah communication. Using a bibliometric analysis of Scopus-indexed publications, the study maps publication trends, thematic structures, and influential sources in the field. The findings show a steady growth of scholarly attention, yet most studies remain descriptive and media-oriented with limited theoretical integration between communication studies and da‘wah studies. This research proposes a conceptual reframing that positions Islamic broadcasting as a dynamic communicative process shaped by religious authority, cultural contexts, and social transformation. These findings contribute to strengthening the theoretical foundation of da‘wah studies in the contemporary digital media environment.
