Abstract

This research is based on the urgent need to improve employee performance in public sector institutions facing high service demands. Employee performance is shaped by various factors, including work-life balance and workload, both of which require proper management to maintain maximum productivity. This study was designed to examine work-life balance and workload on employee performance at the Cimone Branch of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, both individually and simultaneously. The research used a quantitative approach with an associative design with a saturated sampling technique, resulting in a total of 45 employees acting as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and processed with SPSS version 27, including validity, reliability, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination tests. The findings show that work-life balance has a positive and significant impact on employee performance, while workload alone does not show a significant effect. However, when combined, the two variables have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, contributing 63.4%. These findings suggest that agencies should strengthen policies that support work-life balance and manage workloads proportionally to improve employee performance, service quality, and organizational effectiveness.
