Abstract

Landslide threats and the stability of the road structure in landslide-prone areas pose significant risks of damage to the roadway. Consequently, research into landslide mitigation is crucial to prevent infrastructure damage, traffic disruptions, and safety hazards for road users. This study focuses on the National Road Network (Region IV, West Java Province) along the Cileunyi City Boundary – Nagreg – Sumedang – Cijelag section. A quantitative descriptive research method was employed, utilizing SPSS 26.0 statistical software. The findings reveal that the primary causes of landslides are high rainfall, population growth, slope angles, and insufficient land cover on the slopes. Analysis shows a very strong positive correlation between the implementation method and landslide mitigation efforts, with a correlation coefficient of 0.525 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.0039 (p < 0.05); this indicates a significant positive relationship, demonstrating that the implementation method exerts the greatest influence on the landslide mitigation process. The dominant factors contribute 40% to landslide mitigation outcomes when considered simultaneously, while the remaining 60% is influenced by variables outside the scope of this study. These findings offer a significant contribution to road project management in Indonesia and can serve as a reference for stakeholders making decisions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of road project management.
